New Branch Farm is a small diversified farm committed to growing quality vegetables, herbs, and flowers by utilizing organic practices which respect the land and our neighbors. We are committed to tending the land gently – using farming practices which sustain and improve the health and vitality of the whole farm (soil, air, water, and plants). For an in depth look at how we grow, please visit our website. The farm is located just 7 miles southeast of Charlottesville in Albemarle County
Since 2005, New Branch Farm has sold weekly at the Charlottesville City Market on Saturdays, April to November. In the spring of 2010, we began offering a mid-week “a la carte” delivery option. With the aid of our hoophouses, we kept the harvest and deliveries going through January 2011.
We are excited to offer a Tuesday delivery for 2011.
How our Tuesday Delivery Works
Farm produce credit is purchased in increments of $50. Each week, we deduct the produce ordered from your balance. Unlike a traditional CSA, you can choose what vegetables you want and the quantity. You can purchase additional $50 of produce credit throughout the season as you like.
Each Thursday morning, an email list of available products is sent to everyone who has set up an account. Customers can place an order after they receive the weekly email until Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Orders are placed on the market section of this website. A minimum purchase of $5 is required to place an order.
We harvest, bag, and label your produce on Monday. Deliveries are made on Tuesday morning to several Charlottesville area offices. Your bag will contain a spreadsheet with updated total of your farm credit.
If you are interested but have not ordered with us before, please contact us before setting up an account to ensure we still have space available and to determine a delivery location.
